Search studies registered on ClinicalTrials.gov (US National Library of Medicine) and return NCT ID, title, overall status, phases, conditions, sponsor, start and completion dates and a registry link (up to 20 per call, optionally filtered by recruitment status).

Usage units appear in execution.usage.units for reconciliation and billing.

Request fields

Field Type Required Description
invocation_id string yes The market’s invocation id: one execution per id and operation, so a retry with the same id is rejected instead of charged twice. 1-128 characters of A-Z a-z 0-9 . _ : -.
provider string yes Provider that serves the request; choose by the coverage described for this tool. One of: clinicaltrials-gov
query string yes Free-text search terms, 1-300 characters.
max_results integer no Number of studies to return, 1-20; default 10.
statuses string[] no Optional overall statuses to keep: RECRUITING, NOT_YET_RECRUITING, ACTIVE_NOT_RECRUITING, ENROLLING_BY_INVITATION, COMPLETED, SUSPENDED, TERMINATED, WITHDRAWN or UNKNOWN; omitted means all.
